We want church to be welcoming and accessible for all. This emerging ministry is helping us do just that! Here are some of the ways we are intentionally making church more accessible:
Creating specialized areas within our larger community events such as a tent for families with special needs at our egg hunt.
Curating a toolbox of manipulatives, headphones, and other items which may help families better navigate busy Sunday services with more ease.
Offering flexible seating while the main service streams in the lobby for families who may need some more space.
Hosting a small group for parents of kiddos with special needs.
Allowing behavioral health or support staff (with clearances) to attend programming like VBS or WallyRoots with the child/teen.
Offering copies of the Clear Focus Bible (NIV) to use on site (see below).
Saving seats for families who may need to join us after the first musical set.
